Tissue Microarrays

The Mid-Atlantic Division manufactures and distributes Tissue Microarrays (TMAs) for the CHTN. A number of different arrays designs targeted to discovery research are available. All TMAs are constructed from formalin-fixed tissue and provided as unstained sections, 4 microns thick, mounted on charged glass slides. TMA slides are suitable for standard histologic staining, immunohistochemistry, and some in-situ applications. For a listing of currently available TMA designs and detailed specifications, please visit http://avillage.web.virginia.edu/CHTN/ External Web Site Policy. Please contact Mr. Craig Rumpel at (434)924-9879 or crumpel@virginia.edu, for more information on CHTN TMAs.

The Pediatric Division houses the Children's Oncology Group (COG) Solid Tumor Tissue Bank, the COG Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia bank and the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) Tissue Bank. Both the COG and GOG have created tissue microarrays, which are available to approved researchers. Please contact Thomas Liszkay at (614)355-3547 or thomas.liszkay@nationwidechildrens.org for more information regarding these microarrays.
